The Summer Made Simple Workshop

A guided virtual week where you’ll watch our Design School coaches create summer designs, and finally understand how to choose a direction, make confident decisions, and create with purpose.

You won’t be expected to create along live, this workshop is about learning through observation, explanation, and design breakdowns.

If Summer decorating feels all over the place...

If you have too many ideas but don't know what to focus on...

If your designs feel mismatched, unfinished, or harder than they should...

You're in the right place.

You don’t need more ideas, you need a clear direction for summer.

Summer Made Simple was created for makers who love creating, but feel overwhelmed when it comes to designing for summer.

Not because you aren't creative.

But, because summer brings too many themes, too many ideas, and not enough clarity on what actually works together.

This workshop gives you a guided week to slow down, focus, and finally understand how summer designs come together as you watch experienced designers build them in real time.

So instead of jumping from beach... to florals... to patriotic.. to "maybe this will work"...

You can start making calmer, clearer decisions.

Instead of pushing you to do more, Summer Made Simple helps you:

  • Learn how to choose a clear design direction

  • Understand why certain summer designs feel cohesive

  • Make confident choices without second-guessing

  • Create with intention instead of starting over

By the end of the week, designing for summer won't feel overwhelming or scattered, it will finally make sense.

Here's what you'll focus on during The Summer Made Simple Workshop

Watching summer designs come together from start to finish

  • See how experienced designers build summer pieces while explaining their decisions in real time.

Understanding how to choose a direction

  • Beach? Floral? Patriotic? Everyday? Learn how to decide instead of trying to do everything at once.

Learning how to spot what works (and what doesn’t)

  • See how colors, textures, and materials either support the design or compete with it.

Building confidence through clarity

  • When you understand the decisins behind a design, it stops feeling random.

Seeing how design choices can open real business opportunities

  • Damon will teach how clearer design decisions can lead to real sales opportunities, including working with real estate agents, brokers, and offices on new home gifts.

You don’t need to master everything this week.
You just need a clear starting point, and guidance as you move forward.

What the week looks like

Summer Made Simple is a watch-and-learn workshop.

You’ll observe our coaches design live while they explain their decisions, techniques, and thought process in real time. You won’t be thrown into everything at once.

Each day builds on the last, so clarity grows as the week goes on.

Here’s how it unfolds:

Day 1: Direction & Clarity

We start by slowing things down. You’ll learn why summer feels so overwhelming, how to choose a direction, and how to stop second-guessing before you begin.

Days 1–2: Core Summer Designs

You’ll watch different summer styles come together while learning how strong design decisins create cohesion across different looks.

This is where things start to click.

Day 3: Real Sales Opportunities

Damon will teach how thoughtful design decisions can create business opportunities, including what to offer real estate agents, how to find them, what to say, and how to position your designs as new home gifts.

Day 4: Expanding the Look

You’ll see how summer designs can work together across different pieces, themes, and spaces so everything feels connected instead of random.

Throughout the Week:

  • Live guidance you can learn from in real time

  • Replays if you prefer to watch on your schedule

  • Encouragement to move at a pace that works for you

You don’t need to keep up perfectly.
You just need to keep moving forward, with support.

By the end of the week, summer won’t feel chaotic anymore.

It will feel clear, intentional, and more possible.

The Summer Made Simple Workshop is for you if:

  • You have too many ideas and don't know what to focus on

  • You're tired of guessing what to make or how pieces should work together

  • Your designs sometimes feel mismatched or unfinished

  • You enjoy creating but don't want pressure or perfection

  • You want to feel more confident in your decisions, now and moving forward

  • You'd like to better understand how your creative work can turn into real business opportunities

Whether you’re creating for your home, for gifts, or with the hope of selling someday, this workshop meets you where you are.

The Summer Made Simple Workshop may not be for you if:

  • You’re looking for a fast, one-size-fits-all formula

  • You want advanced, high-pressure techniques without explanation

  • You prefer working completely on your own without guidance

  • You’re not interested in understanding why designs work, only copying steps

Summer Made Simple is about clarity, intention, and support, not rushing or keeping up.

A gentle reminder:

You don’t need to be an expert to join.
You don’t need to have a plan for what comes next.

You don't need to do everything perfectly.

You just need the desire to stop guessing, and start creating with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Workshop

How much time will this workshop take each day?

Spring Made Simple is designed to fit into real life.

Live sessions are scheduled for 7pm CST Wednesday-Friday, and then 11, 1, and 3 on Saturday... But, you don’t need to be available since we have replays. Most makers spend a short, focused amount of time creating and learning each day, and you’re always free to go at your own pace.

There’s no pressure to keep up perfectly.

What if I can’t attend live?

All sessions are recorded and available as replays.

If you miss a live class, you can watch later and still follow along. Many students choose to mix live participation with replays, depending on their schedule.

What skill level is this for?

Summer Made Simple is beginner-friendly, but not basic.

You don’t need prior experience to join, just the desire to stop guessing.

Do I need special supplies?

No. This is a watch-and-learn workshop, so you don't need to gather supplies to participate.

Is this workshop focused on selling or business?

No. There’s no requirement to sell anything.

The focus is on design clarity, cohesion, and confidence.
Some students create for their homes, some for gifts, and some hope to sell someday, all are welcome.

Damon will be teaching a business session on how to create real sales opportunities through real estate partnerships.

What if I fall behind during the week?

That’s okay.

Summer Made Simple is built to be flexible. You can move through the workshop in a way that works for you, using replays and guidance to stay supported.

Progress matters more than pace.

Is this a one-time workshop or ongoing?

Summer Made Simple is a complete, stand-alone workshop.

If you choose to continue inside Design School, that option is available, but there’s no obligation to do so. You decide what feels right for you.

What happens after I sign up?

Once you register, you’ll receive access details and next steps so you know exactly what to expect before the workshop begins.

Everything is designed to feel calm, clear, and easy to follow.

Will I be creating during the workshop?

No — this is watch-and-learn.

Still unsure?

If summer has felt scattered, overwhelming, or hard to make sense of, this workshop was created for you.

Meet your Summer Made Simple Coaches

Summer Made Simple isn’t led by one voice or one style.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll be guided by the Design School coaching team, a group of makers who understand what it feels like to second-guess, get stuck, and want designs to make sense again.

Each coach brings a different perspective, but they all share the same approach: clear guidance, supportive teaching, and designs that feel intentional, not rushed.

Damon

Damon helps you zoom out and see the bigger picture. He focuses on why designs work, not just how to make them, so you can stop starting over every season and create with purpose.

Jordan

Jordan is all about foundations and flow. He helps you build designs that feel natural and balanced, making the process feel calmer and more approachable from the start.

Mel

Mel focuses on structure with softness. Her teaching helps you layer intentionally, creating designs that feel thoughtful instead of busy.

Stacy

Stacy helps expand your vision beyond a single piece. She shows how designs can work together across spaces, helping everything feel connected.

Meghan

Meghan brings attention to the details that make a big difference. Her approach is encouraging and accessible, especially if you’re still building confidence.

Dereka

Dereka adds creativity and personality without complexity. She shows how small elements can bring joy and uniqueness, even if you’re newer to designing.

What this means for you

You’re learning how design thinking works, with support from people who want you to feel confident, not pressured.

And you’re never expected to keep up perfectly.
You’re supported as you go.

A calm place to start

Summer doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or uncertain.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to make.
You don’t need to have a long-term plan.
You don’t need to do everything perfectly.
